The four new courses under Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) which has been introduced on Thursday 11th July 2019, by Jamia Millia Islamia, would be under the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It has introduced the course in collaboration with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) along with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
One could get first-hand training on courses of sales & marketing, grooming of factory operation/ assembly line/ packaging, CNC (Computer-Controlled Machine) basic training and CNC (Computer-Controlled Machine) advance training. A student of XII or any equivalent could apply for the same.
It has been mentioned that at present the said center is running an entrepreneurship development programme on PET Bottle Manufacturing and Drinking Water Packaging, Bakery products, Spines Grinding and Packaging, Paper / Glass/Plates cups manufacturing and Tailoring & Embroidery Training.
Courses like in Livelihood Business Incubation (LBI) are being run under the scheme for promoting innovation. Rural Industry and Entrepreneurship (ASPIRE) of the MSME, aims towards self-employment among those aspiring start-up entrepreneurs. The duration of the courses is one month whereas Computer-Controlled Machine Advance training is for two months.
The University has further stated that jobs would be provided after the completion of the courses. So interested students and individuals could avail these facilities by submitting the application before 31st July 2019.
