Women are the water providers in India. In villages, they walk long miles and in cities they wait long hours to bring water for the drinking and cleaning daily needs of their families. In some areas, the water crisis seems turning up  into an increasing burden for women as water providers.
In many areas, women still have to walks distance of about 2.5 kms to reach up to the source of water. She reaches home carrying heavy pots, not to rest but to do other household work of cooking, washing, cleaning, caring of children and looking after livestock. Again in the evening she has to fetch water. Thus a water crises have made  woman’s life become sheer fatiguing for lack of water.
