IMPHAL: Called it the trickling effect of the Manipur Start Up and Make in Manipur drive, a 12 shade collection of organic lipstick was launched in Imphal on  Wednesday. The brain behind the beauty products is the 23 year old, Tuingam Louzhi Angkang, a certified cosmetic chemist  who turned an entrepreneur after  working for years as a make-up artist.

“After getting into Cosmetic Industry, I came to know about the amount of chemicals they use in our beauty products. I wanted to come up with a range of product which is food for our skin and started my company, ’secret cosmetics’ in 2018,” revealed Ankang, lass who hails from the hill district of Ukhrul from a village called Phungreitang, when quizzed about how  her journey began. 

The organic lipstick is made by using Candelila wax, microcrystalline, ozokerite, almond oil and grape seed oil imported confided officially of secret cosmetics. “A chemical free lipstick free of silicon, paraben and pure vegan is not only harmless to our skin but has a creamy moisturizing element which soften the lips,”explains the young creator.

Miss Angkang adds, “it is a handcrafted range of lipsticks made for women by women to enhance their beauty.”

Recently, the company had also started producing lip balms of five flavours.
Priced at Rs 500/- per lipstick, and Rs  100/- per lip balm,the organic beauty products of secret cosmetics is available at stores in Imphal, Ukhrul, Dimapur, Kohima, Bangalore and Pune.  The foody lipstick is also available online.
