Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju received the Special Olympics Torch came from Singapore.

He received the Olympics Torch from the Chairman of the Special Olympics International Football Championship, Dr. Amar Prasad Reddy in New Delhi.

The championship will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai from the 3rd of August to the 6th of August. 

Speaking on the occasion, Rijiju said, for human beings, life is incomplete without sports.

According to sources, he said the government will fully support the Special Olympics and international football championships in Chennai. He also announced cash prize for winners of Abu Dhabi games.
