A male patient who has allegedly declare dead by the Hospital Authorities, found came back to life in the ‘morgue’ of the hospital. He was laying on a floor in an isolated ward meant for dead bodies. This incident was happened in of Tinsukia Civil Hospital.

Mohammed Hussain of Tinsukia is a middle-aged man. He is suffering from an unknown disease.  He was admitted to the Tinsukia Civil Hospital on Wednesday. Hussain’s wife (declining to be named) has claimed, “Three days after his admission the Hospital Authorities informed us he had died. However, we found him alive when we went to collect his body today (Friday).”

On the otherside, Hospital superintendent N.C. Mahanta denied lapses on the part of his medical team as locals raised slogans and demanded a probe into the alleged negligence. Mr. Mahanta told,  “First of all, we do not have any morgue. We have an isolated ward where critical patients have kept. Especially those patients who brought by the police. Secondly, one of the three patients who died today was also named Md. Hussain. Our staff thought he was the other Md. Hussain.” But the  confusion arose because the hospital also keeps dead bodies in the isolation ward.

The incident has been severely condemned by the locals and they have demanded an inquiry into it. The relatives and locals said,  “The authorities are to be blamed. They can’t just be casual and say that the staff got confused.”
