Naaz Joshi’s beauty crown erased society’s stereotypical thinking. Competing against 14 international contestants Joshi, a Delhi Based transgender model created history.


She won the miss world diversity pageant for the third time in a row. The beauty competition was held in Port Louis, Mauritius. Along with the miss world diversity she even earned the title of Miss Congeniality. She also praised for her blue Lehenga and Choli which she wore to represent the nation at the competition as Indian Goddess Shakti. Previously in 2017 & 2018 she already won the first position in the same event.

She was born as Aizya Naaz Joshi in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar. Early times it was too hard to face lots of stigma around her sexuality. Then she decided to do sex-change surgery in 2013. After Surgery she took modeling as her profession. After making history she told the media, ‘winning this crown gives me the power as well as lots of responsibility towards my society. I want to work for the development of transgender and I will always try to bring them into the mainstream of the society. I wish that everyone should accept us as we are without any discrimination.’
