As India gets ready to mark Independence Day the Prime Minister inaugurated the Dynamic Façade Lighting of the Parliament House. He has also spent time witnessing some parts of the light show.

Such lighting has been done in important Government buildings such as North Block, South Block, and Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The dynamic lighting facility has as many as 875 energy-efficient LED lights installed in the Parliament Complex. These are power efficient and use only one-fifth of the electricity compared to other types of lights.

The long-lasting, excellent intensity LED bulbs are capable of creating 16 million colour combinations and the LED lighting is programmable and electronically controlled through computers.

The dynamic lighting system through intermittent multi-color lights creates an aura and enhances the grandeur of the Parliament House.

The Parliament Building is designed by Edwin Lutyens & Herbert Baker, it took six years to construct this magnificent Parliament building which was opened on 18th Jan 1927

These beautiful lights will be illuminating the beautiful Parliament building throughout the year.

Earlier, such lightings were installed only in North Block and South Block. This lighting facility has become increasingly popular among citizens, encouraging more people to visit these landmarks in the heart of Delhi.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers including Hardeep Puri and Jitendra Singh were also present on the occasion.
