55 Lacs CSR comitments from GAIL
A MoU was signed between Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Extramarks Foundation and Deputy Commissioner Siaha at GAIL Headquarters, New Delhi on 13th November, to provide a fully featured Ambulance and Smart Classrooms to Siaha District, under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Under this agreement GAIL shall provide 35 lacs for emergency medical services to Siaha district through Globally renowned Pharmaceutical and biotechbology company -Wockhardt Limited. It was also agreed that GAIL shall provide Rs.20 lacs for 12 smart classrooms for various Government Schools of Siaha District to improve the learning outcomes by engaging Educational technology company called Extramarks foundation.
The MoU was signed by Bhupesh Chaudhary DC Siaha, Anoop Gupta, Executive Director (CSR) GAIL and Alok Sinha Vice President Extramarks Foundation.
Deputy Commissioner of Siaha District of Mizoram Bhupesh Chaudhary and team have written to many Corporate Bussiness Houses of India; requesting them to fund, from their CSR undertakings, various socio-economic developments plans specially focused on primary health, education,woman empowerment.
