According to the state education minister Manish Sisodia, the government has already installed solar panels in 21 schools and the work is in progress in 100 more.

A Pilot project by the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government to install solar panels on school terraces has been launched to cut down electricity expenses and promote a green energy initiative, The govt claims that it has helped schools to reduce the electricity bills to zero from Rs.35, 000.
Measures Taken By the Government In The Education Sector
Since they came to power, the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government has been working tirelessly to improve the education sector. Their work has been recognised all over given how the government schools’ infrastructure has changed over the last few years. From better infrastructure to swankier classrooms, the Delhi government has left no stone unturned to improve the facilities in these schools giving the private-run ones a run for their money.
“Successful pilot of terrace solar panels in #DelhiGovtSchools. Electricity bill of this school reduces from Rs.35, 000 to Zero. Already installed in 21, being installed in 100, the plan is to install in a total of 500 schools. An important step towards power independence for Delhi!” the official twitter handle of Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said.
In February, Sisodia had said over 25,000 state-of-the-art classrooms were already built with more on their agenda. Even the 2018 CBSE Class XII results of the government schools improved drastically.
