With a view to providing medical assistance and counselling to the COVID-19 patients who opt for home isolation, a telemedicine centre has been set up at SM Dev Civil Hospital at Silchar, the HQ of Cachar district of Assam on Saturday.

Inaugurating the telemedicine centre, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli said that many a time the COVID patients staying in home isolation seek doctors’ advice on what to do and what medication required to be taken and towards this end, the telemedicine centre would help them to get replies to their queries promptly.

Joint Director of Health Services, Dr. SJ Das, Dr. JH Hazari, Dr. Rajat Deb and Dr. SK Roy, all from SM Dev Civil Hospital and District Media Expert, Suman Choudhury were present on the occasion.
