Manipur State Film Development Society, (MSFDS), early known by the name of Manipur Film Development Corporation or simply MFDC would like to inform the general public that it has no connection whatsoever with the recently introduced multimedia application called MFDC, an acronym for Manipur Film Distribution Centre, created for streaming Manipuri films online by a private enterprise.

While the MSFDS is excited about the prospects the online streaming platform introduced for the promotion of Manipuri film economy and is currently developing an online platform for accessing Manipuri films for the public, the Society would like to clarify that the online streaming application, called MFDC is not in any way connected with the MSFDS and that the familiarity of the name ‘MFDC’ is purely coincidental.

MSFDS is compelled to issue this clarification as there have been uncountable numbers of inquiries and complaints regarding the app from the general public who unsuspectingly downloaded and used the app ‘MDFC’ thinking it is a platform created and managed by MSFDS, stated  Sunzu  Bachaspatimayum, Secretary, Manipur State Film Development Society.

Manipur State Film Development Society, MSFDS, is an autonomous body of the Government of Manipur which was converted from the erstwhile Manipur Film Development Corporation (MFDC). Its mandate is the promotion of Manipuri film.
