I feel very proud and comfortable to speak in Hindi

Namaskar!

Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September. On this day we celebrate the Official language of our country. This day is mainly celebrated in the northern part of the country. People wear Indian ethnic clothes on this day. Hindi Diwas emphasizes the importance of our nation’s national language. The Hindi language is spoken by millions of people in our country. In schools and colleges, mostly the management organises Hindi debate, poem or storytelling competitions. Cultural programs are also held and the teachers give a speech to emphasize the importance of Hindi language. Many schools host inter-school Hindi debate and poetry competitions. Inter-school Hindi essay and story writing competitions are also held. This day marks the declaration of the Hindi language as the official language of our country by the constituent assembly of India in 1949. The first Hindi Diwas was celebrated in 1953. Hindi is the fourth most spoken language in the world after English, Spanish and Mandarin. I feel very proud and comfortable to speak in Hindi. Jai Hind!
