Observing the lackadaisical attitude amongst the general public and some traders in Dimapur, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan has cautioned that more stringent enforcement of COVID precautions will be done.

Addressing the Dimapur District Task Force meeting today, 20th October 2020, DC Dimapur advised the members to keep on providing awareness from one’s own level. “In terms of Quarantine and testing, Dimapur district is showing the comparatively satisfactory result, but we need to put a mechanism in place to avoid exponential curve,” he maintained. Rajesh further directed the outpost administrative officers under Dimapur district for conducting meeting in consultation with the village authorities for more stringent enforcement of COVID measures.

He also added that the current enforcement teams in place, headed by administrative officers would intensify the various enforcement activities

In the meeting, CMO Dimapur Dr. Mereninla briefed on the COVID 19 situation of the district and reminded the public to follow the 3 golden rules i.e wearing mask, maintaining social distance and sanitising hands in order to stay away from COVID 19.

Director CISHR Dimapur, Dr. Sedevi, Director Airport Authority Dimapur, Shikuto from DCCI, Pastor Yanbemo and several others shared their views and concerns in the meeting.
