Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India on Tuesday shared in his Twitter handle, photographs of the first batch of Covishield vaccine being shipped across the country.

Poonawalla tweeted, ‘An emotional moment for the team at Serum Institute of India as the first shipments of #Covishield finally leaves for multiple locations across India’.

The first phase of Covid vaccine will start from 16th January in India where the front line workers are scheduled to be vaccinated. India plans to vaccinate 30 Crores Indians in next few months.
