The administration has started the process of collecting information of officials and employees who are engaged in various cells constituted for the purpose of conducting the upcoming Assembly elections

The COVID-19 vaccination drive is going on in full swing in the district of Hailakandi. Health authorities here informed that the first phase of the vaccination drive among the health care workers and front line workers would come to an end in the first week of March.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner, Megh Nidhi Dahal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, NK Shah and around 30-35 employees of the Deputy Commissioner’s establishment got the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine here on Saturday.

District Immunisation Officer, Dr. KTS Rangmei disclosed that altogether 119 were vaccinated out of which 77 were given the first shot and 42-second dose in four numbers sessions held at Katlicherra BPHC, Algapur Model Hospital, IDSP Office and SK Roy Civil Hospital on Saturday. Health officials and employees of the Joint Director, Health Services and National Health Mission were administered the COVID vaccine. There were no reports of any adverse effects following immunisation (AEFI).

Dr.Rangmei disclosed that officials and employees of SP’s Office and personnel of Police Reserve would be vaccinated on Monday. The administration has started the process of collecting information of officials and employees who are engaged in various cells constituted for the purpose of conducting the upcoming Assembly elections as well as zonal and sector officers and district level master trainers and Assembly level master trainers for administering the first dose of vaccine in the first week of March and the second dose in the first week of April. It has asked all the officers in charge of the cells and others to furnish information latest by Monday for onward submission to the health authorities
