There has been an undercurrent in the district which may swing the election: Nirmal Langthasa
Indian National Congress nominated candidate for 16 Haflong (ST) Nirmal Langthasa filed his nomination in presence of Daniel Langthasa, MAC, N C Hills Autonomous council, Dilip Nunisa and several others.
After filing the nomination, Langthasa giving a befitting answer to the media person said there has been an undercurrent in the district which may swing the election. Mentioning the BJP’s development he said the perspective of development differed with us as there has been discrimination and at the same, we are more concern over the poverty and unemployment of the people. Right now we are having more than 39645 registered unemployed in the district for this we are thinking of opening a ministry for the creation of job. He appealed to the youths to get a registered congress job guarantee project online before it closes. Having community Halls and roads, our socio-economy could not be developed. Show of strength with the expense of huge fund cannot win the heart of common people; we are always with the common people he added.
BTP Candidate files nomination at Haflong
Meanwhile, Khandan Daulagupu also filed his nomination today at Haflong as the 16 Haflong (ST) candidate for Bharatiya Tribal Party.
Daulagupu once the associate of BJP said his BTP is very new here but the people of our district being tribal are facing problems everywhere. He assured that his party though in the name of Tribal but would work for all the people living here. He hoped that the people of Dima Hasao would cast vote in favour of him to work for them.
