Kadamtala Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) carried out a drive with the aim to identify the youth from villages around Jaliura, in Cachar District of Assam for recruit training on 11 March.

Post requisite liaison with the locals and wide publicity, the event was executed witnessing participation of 18 boys.

The participants were given an overview of the recruitment procedure and formally educated about various trades along with physical, medical and educational criterion for entry. This was followed by the conduct of Physical Tests and Medical Examinations as per the laid down standards and checking of requisite documents.

This initiative of Assam Rifles was highly appreciated by the youth who expressed their gratitude for giving them an insight into the process of recruitment, guidance for improvement and a chance of introspection towards the aspects requiring deliberation.
