250 students (NCC boy and girl cadets) from local schools and colleges turned up for the event
In the series of events commemorating Swarnim Vijay Varsh (SVV) 2021 on the 50th year of Indian Victory over Pakistan in 1971 operations, Kadamtala Batallion of 21 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspectorate General of Assam Rifles (East) organised Military Band and Military Weapons and Equipment Display for the students at HQ 2 MGAR (East) on 26 Mar 21.
A strength of 250 students (NCC boy and girl cadets) from local schools and colleges turned up for the event which started with an enthralling performance by the Military Band leaving the spectators spellbound. This was followed by the students witnessing the might of Assam Rifles through the Military Weapons and Equipment display which included a wide array of modern and sophisticated weapons and equipment.
The students remembered and acknowledged the valour of the armed forces towards the liberation of Bangladesh and their victorious feat in the 1971 India and Pakistan war. The students were highly impressed with the military grandeur and the event left a long lasting impact on the young minds with a re-ignited patriotic spirit.
The students expressed their thankfulness for the conduct of the event. Refreshments were served to all students attending the event.
