‘Though the situation is under control now, nothing could be said what may happen within the coming week or 10 days’: Chief Secretary

To take the stock of the Covid situation in Dima Hasao, Assam Chief Secretary, Jishnu Barua, visited Haflong today.

Today, despite being a holiday Chief Secretary held an important meeting with the district administration, N C Hills Autonomous Council Authority, senior officials of the medical department at Haflong circuit house.

The meeting was attended by DC, Paul Barua, SP, Jayant Sing, ADC, Rajib Roy, NCHAC Secretary, Health, T T Daulagupu and joint director of medical and health services.

Answering the question of media persons, he said, ‘though the situation is under control now, nothing could be said what may happen within the coming week or 10 days. He said everybody should abide by the govt SOPs strictly otherwise the situation may go out of control. He appealed to the business communities of Haflong to close their institutions by 6 pm considering the gravity of the situation.
