A penalty of Rs 200/- is to be imposed every time the offense is committed
Many persons are being found not wearing masks in public places in violation of the directives issued by the Government of Nagaland for preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the State. As per order NO.GAB-1/COM/GEN-4/2020 dated 12.11.2020 and Para E3 and Para J of order NO.NSDMA-ER-COVlDI9-30l/2020(Part-II) dated 29.04.2021, action is to be taken against those found not wearing masks, and a penalty of Rs 200/- is to be imposed every time the offense is committed. The ASI and above level officers of Police, and Assistant Road Safety & Enforcement Inspector, and above level officers of Transport Department, are the enforcement agencies for the aforesaid provision.
All the District Task Forces have been directed to take urgent steps for ensuring enforcement of the directive for wearing masks in public places by the people, and for taking action against those violating, in their respective jurisdictions.
Further, all the District Task Forces will submit daily reports to the Stale Level War Room on the number of persons found not wearing masks in public places by the enforcement agencies, and the total fine collected from the violators.
