Sushmita was injured while bags and mobile phones of TMC party workers were snatched

Sushmita Dev the Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha member and other party members were attacked today at Amtali in Tripura. The TMC alleges the attack was orchestrated by the ruling BJP workers. BJP has refuted the allegation and termed the incident as TMC’s internal feud.
Dev was in an outreach campaign under the banner ‘Tripurar Jonno Trinamool’. While Sushmita was injured while bags and mobile phones of TMC party workers were snatched according to a party statement.
The TMC Tripura has lodged a complaint at the Amtali police station. The police have started their investigation in the matter.
A 12-day statewide programme ‘Tripurar Jonno Trinamool was launched on Thursday to highlight the vision, schemes, and messages of the party.
Trinamool’s General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee condemned the incident.
