The COTPA flying squad, Wokha led by its team leader, Officer-in-Charge (OC), L.Chenithung Kikon along with the staff of National Tobacco Programme (NTCP), Wokha Dobashis (DBs), Women Police personnel Wokha, representatives from Lotha Students’ Union, Wokha Circle Students’ Union conducted an enforcement raid/drive near educational institutions on 30th Oct 2021.

The squad penalised 04 (four) defaulters and seized tobacco products from the shops falling within the restricted areas. The defaulters were warned that, should they fail to abide by the COTPA Act, necessary legal action shall be initiated as per the provision of the Law.

The seized tobacco products were destroyed at Police Station Wokha premises in presence of the flying squad members.
