Attended 102 patients and distributed generic medicines to the people of the area
The ongoing COVID pandemic has opened up many challenges and opportunities for medical professionals. To demonstrate its resolve towards a healthier environment, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector/ IGAR (East) launched one day wellness camp as “PUMRIH MADUIH CAMP” today in Dikhuiram village of Tamei sub division of anipur. The camp brought medical practitioner and free medicines Near to Home in the remotest areas of the Tamenglong district. The aim is to provide free health check-ups for senior citizens and residents of remote rural areas who have limited mobility due to physical and connectivity problems.
During the medical camp, the medical team of 44 Assam Rifles attended 102 patients and distributed generic medicines to the people of the area.
This health camp is a part of the ongoing efforts of the unit in its contribution towards AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV. The unit has till now already vaccinated 4414 beneficiaries in a total of 79 Covid vaccination sessions. The unit mobile vaccination centres established for the same are reaching out to the public in far-flung areas in coordination with the district hospital medical team under Dr Gracy and the local COVID task force.
