These cutting edge technologies can provide a platform for the younger generation to act as job-givers instead of job-seekers, believes Prof. Goel
Corporate Resource Centre at Starex University celebrated ‘Cloud Discovery Day’ in partnership with The Data Tech Labs. The celebrations were followed by a webinar on the fundamentals of Cloud Engineering.
Prof. Dr. M M Goel, Vice Chancellor, Starex University and founder, Needonomics School of Thought while speaking on needo-entrepreneurship emphasized on hunting opportunities of entrepreneurship in such upcoming technologies. He also highlighted the scope of cloud-business including cloud-shops. These cutting edge technologies can provide a platform for the younger generation to act as job-givers instead of job-seekers, believes Prof. Goel.
Rahul Patel, an AWS Authorized Instructor explained Cloud computing as a technology, that operates our office virtually. It lets us use the internet for the storage of data on remote servers and access that data through the internet. Customers who do not wish to own physical infrastructure, opt for Cloud computing technology. In this case, they only have to rent the usage from a third party provider. Cloud computing is advantageous for its low maintenance cost, improved back-up and storage of data, option for pay-per-use, unlimited storage capacity and excellent accessibility. Cloud computing also ensures better collaboration of business units. Besides advantages, it also has some disadvantages like limited control over infrastructure, security of sensitive data and most importantly the internet connectivity, without which cloud computing becomes crippled.
Varun Malik, Training and Placement Officer proposed a vote of thanks to the partner institution for the successful commemoration of the event and issued this press release on behalf of the University.
