Tokishe asserted that with knowledge and wisdom we can change the world and bring peace

The Natha New Students’ Union Golden Jubilee celebration was held at Natha New village on 29th December 2021, under the theme “Akiqheu kuchuqu küdau jukucho (Vision towards a greater height)” with Director, IPR, Er. Tokishe Kiba as the chief guest, Rtd. Deputy Director YRS, Shihokhe Sumi, as the guest of honour. Gen. Secy JDU, Nagaland, Kitoho S. Rotokha and Pastor SBC Mokokchung, Kughazhe Zhimomi as speakers.

Tokishe Kiba, while speaking at the celebration, drew parallels of pupa to butterfly metamorphosis to that of a successful person’s life and that struggle is a phase of life, every successful person experiences. Tokishe asserted that with knowledge and wisdom we can change the world and bring peace and therefore called upon the students to pursue true knowledge and wisdom. Every person who wants to achieve greatness should have strong willpower, he added.

He also quoted Swami Vivekananda’s proverb, “Take up one idea, make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea. This is the way to success, and this is the way great spiritual giants are produced.”

The program was chaired by Ex Prez NNSU, Ikato V Zhimomi, welcome address was proposed by GB Natha old and Gen Secy, Sumi Kukami hoho, Hetoho S Zhimomi and special number was presented by Zhimokali K which was followed by various cultural presentations and competitions.
