“Har Ghar Tiranga”  is a nationwide campaign to encourage people to hoist the national flag at their homes to mark the 75th Independence Day. Har Ghar Tiranga in the 75th year of Independence is not only an act of personal connection with the Tricolour but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building.

To further honour the National flag, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector Assam Rifles, IGAR (East) took the program of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ among the local populace of Tamenglong and Kangpokpi District. To promote the campaign among the masses, an offline lecture and interactive webinar on “Our National Flag” was organised for the students of Gelnel Higher Secondary School in Kangpokpi district.

The students were educated about the history and meaning of National flag. Further the students were informed about the correct use, display, and hoisting of the Indian National Flag as guided by the Flag Code of India.
