Karbi Anglong police have arrested three cadres of newly shaped ultra group Socialist Council for Karbi Longri or NSCK from Daithor of eastern Karbi Anglong and Diphu since yesterday. Police have also recovered three small arms from their possession.

The arrested cadres have been identified as Pabitra Saikia alias Teron of Bapuram Signar village and David Inghi of Sarthey Inghi village of Daithor locality, Rahul Tokbi resident of Panchyat colony of Diphu town.

Police have recovered twenty one live bullets from the arrested cadres, Pabitra Saikia alias Teron was injured while preventing arrest, he is under medical treatment in Diphu Medical College and Hospital.

According to police this group is operating on its own and is mostly involved in timber smuggling and other antisocial activities, connection with terror activity has not been established yet.
