Two campaigns were initiated by Piramal Foundation in collaboration with NITI Ayog and District Administration Chandel to accelerate the National initiative of proficiency in reading with understanding and numeracy (Buniyadi Shiksha Abhiyan) in schools’ children from class I-V and to improve childcare and development of 0-6 years in Anganwadi Centre (Khush-haal Bachpan Abhiyan) on Thursday.

Another program for Mapping Disabled Persons was also launched by Deputy Commissioner Chandel.

The program was started by unfurling the flex designed for the campaign by Mayanglambam Rajkumar Deputy Commissioner in the presence of Md. Firoj Khan (ADC/ADM), SDOs, CMO, DPO, CDPOs, BRCs, CRCs, HM and respective teachers of the selected demo schools, supervisors of ICDS cell, and NGO collaborators.

At the end of the program, different stakeholders gave us feedback, suggestions, and assurance of their full support in achieving our goals to serve the unserved.
