Two rare species of wild animals  which are suspected to be Chimpanzees were recovered by Cachar Police in Assam on Tuesday morning

Cachar police could recover these species near the Lailapur Naka check post under Dholai Police Station in the Cachar district of Assam.

These were illegally being transported by some unknown persons to some unknown destination reported SP Cachar in an update. 

He also stated that it is suspected that the wild animals were being carried from Myanmar/Indonesia through Mizoram.

In this regards a criminal case is being registered and investigated.
