Even after she showed her displeasure he continued to physical molest her and outrage her modesty, she alleges
A sexual harassment case has been filed by a senior level manager of Corporate India against her supervisor in N.M. Joshi Marg Police Station, Lower Parel, Mumbai. The lady concerned in a seven page letter (the letter and FIR copy is seen by KRC Times) to the police narrated how she was haunted by sexual favours by one of her supervisors a Chief Marketing officer both working in an Indian well known group with multiple businesses.
She joined the company in June 2013 in the senior management team and was headhunted and interviewed by the Head of HR of the company and was offered to work under the CEO, but within one week of joining she was asked to report to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for work approvals, etc. as par the organisation structure.
She narrates in her FIR that it was from the beginning that this senior executive was trying to send indirect messages for sexual favours and made her work life difficult. She narrates an incident where he physically touches her back in a group photo session making her uncomfortable. Even after she showed her displeasure he continued to physical molest her and outrage her modesty, she alleges.
The mental harassment and demands increased more after she got married in 2014 and the alleged molester started asking very personal questions, and sexually coloured remarks on various occasions with subtle threats that her career will not progress without compromising.
She alleges that on one occasion in an event held offsite, CMO forced her to attend the event even though her mother was sick and after dinner, he showed her his hotel room key indicating a demand for sexual favour which she refused.
Post this incident she had gone to all her superiors in the hierarchy including the Chairman of the group and Legal head but she in the FIR letter alleges that they all passively supported the perpetrator, that is the Chief Marketing Officer and perpetuated the cycle of sexual harassment and mental agony to her.
