NEWS 1- The results of seven assembly by-elections in six states have been declared. BJP won three out of seven seats. RJD, Biju Janata Dal, TRS, and Shiv Sena got one seat each. BJP has won both seats in Uttar Pradesh. Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena has won the Mumbai Andheri East seat .Congress has suffered the most in this by-election, they have lost their previous two seats.

NEWS 2- There is no guarantee when the highway work will be completed. TMC MP Sushmita Dev said this after visiting the Silchar-Balachara stretch highway today. She said nothing can be said in a certain way as the working condition are challenging. Due to excessive rain in the area, only four months of work can be done. Besides, there is no guarantee that the highway will survive here due to natural reasons. Although new technology is being used still there are uncertainties about the Highway being constructed.

NEWS 3- Assam Government Direct Recruitment Grade III result Declared. The result was released on the website of SEBA in the morning. Cut-off marks are given along with the result. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said that 10,000 more jobs will be given in December. As soon as the result was declared, the SEBA informed that those who have cleared the written test will be called for an oral test. Nine lakh candidates appeared for this exam for the post of 13300 vacancies.

NEWS 4- A brutal murder in Bihara of Cachar. Stepson killed his stepmother by stabbing her throat. The incident took place in Bihara, Katigora constituency of Cachar in Assam. The woman’s grandson and others handed over the culprit Sekul Islam Barbhiya aged 38. to the police. The 65 years old women’s name was Asma Khatun Barbhuiya.

The woman’s daughter-in-law Ruksana Begum and grandson Manowar Hussain Barbhuiya were also injured in the incident. Asma’s own child Nazrul Islam Barabhooiya met with an accident on the way home after getting the news. Manowar Hussain Barabhuiya, the grandson of the deceased gave details about this.

NEWS 5- Barak Valley BJP Co-ordination Committee is formed today. The committee was formed after extensive discussion on various burning issues of Barak Valley through a meeting at the Silchar district BJP office on Sunday. The new president is Rajdeep Roy, MP from Silchar.

Kanad Purkayastha from Cachar is appointed as the General Secretary and Rajkumar Das of Hailakandi and Sudip Chakraborty of Karimganj have been given the responsibility of Assistant General Secretary.

The former president of the committee and ex-MP Kabindra Purkayastha presented the previous contribution and future outline of the committee to the media. By November 15th, to speed up the work of Green Field Airport and other issues, he said that the representatives of the committee will meet the Chief Minister.

NEWS 6- In a bizarre incident, the head teacher of a school is found walking around the school with a big sword locally called ‘Da’. It was found that the headmaster is going around the school to discipline the students and teachers with a Da. Such a horrible incident took place at Radhamadhav Primary School in Silchar town of Assam.

Dhritimedha Das, the headmaster of the school, walks in and out of the classroom with Da in his hand. After receiving this information, the police arrived on Saturday afternoon and took hold of the weapon from the hands of the head teacher. He is known to threaten students and teachers with his hands. He even threatened to kill four teachers.

After the police came and seized the weapon, the district inspector of schools was informed. But surprisingly, without taking any action against the head teacher, the DI has sent him on two months’ leave, according to sources. It is not known why the head teacher did such an act.

NEWS 7- Bazarichara police arrested threepeople along with intoxicating cough syrup worth 2 Lac.  The police are currently holding thearrested people at the Bazarichara police station. In this regard, Nogro patrolpost-in-charge JP Das said that on the basis of a secret source, on Fridaynight along with Rangamati police a check gate was set up at Rangamati Bridge.
On the same day, the police seized a total of 520 bottles of intoxicated cough syrup. According to police sources, the estimated market value of the seized items is Rs. 2 Lac  The arrested person are Azim Uddin sonof late abdul Motin,  Bahadur Chhetri sonof Gopal Chandra Chhetri lives in the same area. The third man involved is Mangal Paul son of Bhanu Chandra Paul. Although he is working in Rangamati but his main house is in Katlichhara of Hailakandi district, said the in-charge.
