The Cachar district BJP led by its President Bimolendu Roy filed an FIR against AIUDF chief Moulana Badruddin Ajmal for his comments against Hindus.

On Tuesday a BJP Cachar district delegation filed the FIR in Silchar stating that the MP of Dhubri Md. Badruddin Ajmal had made derogatory and unconstitutional remarks on 2nd December against Hindus, and the chief minister of Assam which insulted our religious feelings, etc.

Ajmal is in the news for his insensitive comments which have been condemned both by political parties as well as civil societies across religious sections both from the Islamic and Hindu populations in this part of the region comprising the district of Cachar, Karimganj, and Hailakandi.

Across Assam, this comment is going viral and attracting political bickering.
