NEWS 1- Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan film has sparked protests in northern India. Various organizations have demanded not to show this movie. A lawyer has filed a case in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur court. In some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Hindutva organizations have demanded the cancellation of this film. According to them, the sentiments of Hindus have been hurt in this film. Hindutva leader Sathyaranjan Bora demanded not to show this film in Assam. In this way, protests are now going on across the country against the screening of this film.

NEWS 2- Opposition unity is not possible by weakening the Congress. Commenting on this, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that if anyone thinks that opposition will be united by giving 200 seats, then Congress will not accept it. A strong Congress can be the only alternative to the BJP, he said.

NEWS 3- Sachin Pilot said that he has no challenge attitude towards Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He said, elders cannot be challenged. He has been doing politics for 40 years, he is a parent. I have no reason to challenge him. In this way, Rajasthan Congress leader Sachin Pilot showed a soft attitude towards Ashok Gehlot. The leaders believe that their comments will reduce the factional conflict of the Congress.

NEWS 4- Udharband MLA Mihir kanti Some faced protests while inaugurating a water project in Shibu Jangal area of Udharband.On Saturday, MLA Mihir Kanti Some went to inaugurate the newly constructed water project worth Rs 94 lakh 41 thousand in Shibu Jangal area of Udharband’s Khaspur GP. Meanwhile, after hearing the news that the newly constructed water project will be inaugurated today, the residents of the same GP Ghunghurband area came and staged dharna in front of the water project. Their only demand is that all the villages have been provided water lines under the Jal Jeevan Mission, except for a few families in their area.

After making demands to several engineeres and contructors, nothing was done. So today, they is forced to sit in demonstration. On seeing MLA Mihir, the women present on the dharna started chanting slogans that they will not be allowed to start this project unless they provide water to their village. Seeing the dharna going on in front of the gate of the water project, the MLA called engineer Paul to know the reason for the strike? The protesters demanded an apology as to why some families in their village were not given water.

After knowing everything from Engineer, the MLA spoke to the protestors and promised that water will reach every one of their houses within the next few days. After getting this promise from the MLA, the protestors called off their agitation. Later, the MLA inaugurated the newly constructed water project by cutting the ribbon.

NEWS 5- On the occasion of Minority Rights Day, a program has been organized at Silchar Press Club with the initiative of Barak Nagrik Sangsad on Sunday 18 December at 1:30 pm. The program includes a meeting and awarding of journalism awards. The topic of discussion is “Unless caste discrimination ends, it is not possible to build a modern strong state”.
Journalism award will be given to five journalists in the event.

They are Amal kumar Lashkar, Enamul Kabir Lashkar, Shanku Sharma, Siddharthkumar Das and Somshikha Majumder. Shankar Dey, Chief Secretary of Nagrik Sangsad, has requested everyone to attend.

NEWS 6- Youth died after being hit by a JCB in Shardapalli under Jaipur police station of Cachar district at around 9 pm yesterday. This accident happened when he came out after having dinner. A JCB was cutting soil from tilla next to the house when the 14-year-old minor Sarbjeet Biswas, son of Sajal Biswas, who was standing by, was hit with the back bucket. Immediately he fell to the ground and family members rushed him to Jaipur SHC where doctors declared him dead. Meanwhile, Jaipur Police Station OC Subit Gogoi immediately rushed to the spot after receiving the news. He recovered the JCB at the spot and took it to Jaipur police station.

Meanwhile, CI from Lakshipur and SP Numal Mahatta from Silchar, Additional SP Subrata Sen rushed to Jaipur police station. He consoled the bereaved family and sent the body to Silchar Medical College Hospital for post-mortem, saying that they are always with the family members. The dead body was brought home from Silchar Medical College around 12 noon today and the last rites were done. This tragic incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area. Every person in the area is shocked by this incident.
