NEWS 1- For the BJP government at the Centre, the North East region has overcome all hurdles to progress. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made this comment at a public meeting organized on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of North Eastern Council in Shillong today. He said that the central government has a special vision for North East states. The BJP has eliminated the Vote bank politics, the main obstacle to the development of the North East in particular, In the future, with the initiative of the center the North East will improve more He added.
NEWS 2- In 1857, India’s first independence struggle, the wave of sepoy mutiny swept across the North East as well. Although the North East leader Rajkumar Narendrajit had an immense contribution in that rebellion, his name did not appear in the pages of history.
The two-day seminar began with the contribution of freedom fighter Rajkumar Narendrajit under the joint supervision of Manipur Seva Samiti, Imphal, Intellectual Forum of North East, Manipur and North East India Habiitant People Front, Assam at Bipin Chandra Pal Conference Hall, Assam University.
The two-day conference was attended by Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs and Education, Government of India, Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy as special guest, Tripura University Vice Chancellor Ganga Prasad Prasanna, Assam University Pro Vice Chancellor Sajal Nag, Manipur Seva Samiti President Imphal Dr CH Chandramani Singh as guest of honour. Assam University Registrar Dr Pradosh Kiran Nath and others were present.
NEWS 3- Cyclone will come towards the end of December. This forecast has been made by the Meteorological Department. This cyclone will hit the north eastern part of the country. Earlier in December, there was a large storm in different parts of the country. The weather department has said that there is a possibility of cyclone for the second time.
NEWS 4- The biggest success of Cachar police, this time three people were arrested with six lakh twenty thousand Yava tablets. The police of Dhalai police station got a big success on Saturday night. The forces of Cachar Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta arrested three persons with 62 packets, 620,000 Yava tablets in the night.

NEWS 5- A tearful farewell Tet teacher and former Durdarshan photojournalist Ruhul Amin Lashkar breathed his last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital at 5 am on Sunday. He was 47 years old. Ruhul Amin was suffering from various diseases since last few months. He had gone abroad several times for treatment. He recently returned home from Hyderabad after undergoing treatment. After coming home, he was admitted to Silchar Medical when his physical condition deteriorated again. He was also suffering from liver disease and lack of speech. On Sunday afternoon, his funeral prayers were held at his home in Kachudaram. Journalists of Silchar, Sonai went to condole at his house that day. He is three brothers are survived by numerous relatives and friends.
