Diphu :   A slow moving truck had a miraculous escape when another truck from the opposite direction almost collided with the unhurried vehicle at high speed. The driver of the truck Ashim Das somehow managed to dodge away but not before bumping into a tree.

The incident occurred at Langchithing over National Highway 39 within the jurisdiction of Borpathar police station, in Bokajan subdivision on Thursday afternoon. The incident turned significant  as the professional drivers closed their eyes to rules of driving, resulting in fatal outcomes, hundreds of people have lost their lives due to such recklessness including crossing the speed limit on this highway.

In another incident two speeding bikes collided head on  at Khatkhati on the same highway on Wednesday evening. In the accident three riders received serious injury; the front assembly of both the bikes was damaged due to the force of the crash. Injured persons were taken to hospital by the passerby.
