Haflong : National Girl Child Day was observed at Haflong yesterday, along with the rest of the country. The programme was organised by the office of the Addl. Chief Medical & Health Officer Dima Hasao. The National Girl Child day was a weeklong celebration as instructed by the central government with its final celebration held at the District Library Auditorium, Haflong yesterday. In this connection, a Rally was organized by office of the Additional Director Chief Medical & Health Officer, Haflong, Dima Hasao.

The rally started from office of the Additional Director Chief Medical & Health Officer up to District Library Auditorium. The rally was participated by Doctors, Nurses, officials from line department like Medical and Social Welfare department, students from Seven schools and others. 

An awareness  programme was held there in the District Library Auditorium which was attended by the Deputy Secretary to the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council  Rebecca Changsan ACS as Chief Guest. Along with her District Information and Public Relation Officer Purabi Phonglo, District Surveillance Officer Dr. N Veiphei, Administrator of One Stop Centre  Desmaidi Hagjer, Paedetrician Dr. Ringjana Hojai, Roselene Aao who is a, internationally acclaimed weight lifter, Baby Kalmawizo Hmar artist who has been recognized for  excellent songs and specially for her state Anthem O mur Apunar Desh.

The programme was also attended and moderated by  Addl. CM & HO (FW) Dr. Marina L. Changsan; AdministratorDoctors, Nurses, officials from line department like Medical and Social Welfare department, students from Seven schools,  parents, guardians and others.
