Election campaigning is becoming more & more star studded. Already, in Bengal we have our own film stars as contestants. Entry of stars from the film fraternity across the border (from Bangladesh Ferdous Ahmed) for the purpose of campaigning is a new phenomenon which is not viewed very favorably by other political parties. The stars included very well known celebrities of Bengal.

The other political parties’ have seeked the help of the Election Commission to review the matter.

It remains suspense for the citizens of how the Election Commission of India will view this new dimension of international campaigning being incorporated for upcoming Lok Sabha Election (2019).
