Dr. Meenu Gupta, Assistant Professor of Economics in GGDSD College Chandigarh, has obtained the Ph. D degree on the topic ‘Economics of Indian Multinational Corporations (MNC’s) under the guidance of Professor (Dr.) Madan Mohan Goel. According to Dr. Meenu Gupta, India’s multinational corporations should consider themselves as trustees of the society by following the trusteeship model of Mahatma Gandhi.

If these multinational corporations act in accordance of the thoughts of Maharaja Agrasen to fulfill their social responsibility and spend twenty five percent of their income on social welfare, then many problems of the Indian economy – unemployment, poverty, inequality and brain drain can be reduced to a great extent
