Diphu :  After massive resentment expressed by various social organizations, venture schools teachers, employees and ad hoc teachers of colleges for not receiving their one-year pending salaries, the authority of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council has taken the issue with due importance.

According to a media report, Executive Member in charge Education Department of the council, Richard Tokbi has stated that all pending dues of the teachers and non teaching employees of venture school and colleges will be released shortly.

United Students Union of Karbi Anglong, a Diphu based student’s body which has taken up the issue with the council authority received this assurance from the Executive Member, during their meeting today. 

 United Students Union of Karbi Anglong have remained instrumental in securing the outstanding of the suffered teachers did presented a memorandum to the Executive Member in this issue. The memo also stated about other predicaments of schools and colleges of Karbi Anglong.

The memo submitted by the United Students Union of Karbi Anglong have mentioned a shortage of teaching staff from primary to higher secondary level. The memo has particularly demanded introduction of science education in all higher secondary schools of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong district.
