Diphu :  Students of Assam University Diphu campus have begun a sit-in demonstration for an indefinite period inside the university campus in opposition to the administration of Assam University from today.The students have put forward several demands before the university management which includes appointment of permanent faculties against vacant posts and facilitate guest faculties, increase the number of non-teaching staffs in the campus, add to number of university buses, dispose pure and hygienic drinking water, up-gradation of structures, construction of playground, naming the university library in the honor of Lt. Bonglong Terang, formation of alumni association etc.
