We need high ethical standards in media based on principles of truth and accuracy, independence, fairness and impartiality, humanity and accountability, told Prof. Goel
Noida : For Swarnim Bharat, the fraternity of media need to use collective wisdom to work without worries with needo-ethics by accepting the challenges of all kinds, believes Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Former Vice-Chancellor known as founder Needonomics School of Thought superannuated from Kurukshetra University. He was addressing the students of the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) Noida Film City on the topic “ Needo-ethics in Media for Swarnim Bharat towards 2047 ”. Dr Sandeep Marwaha Chancellor presided over the function. Dr Ajay Kumar convenor of the event delivered a welcome address and presented citations on the achievements of Prof. M.M . Goel.
We need high ethical standards in media based on principles of truth and accuracy, independence, fairness and impartiality, humanity and accountability, told Prof. Goel.
It is necessary to understand India as Bharat made of two words ‘Bha’ –meaning knowledge and ‘Rata’ meaning devoted as a knowledge seeker to be known as a knowledge economy where ‘Sarswati’ is equally as ‘Lakshmi is worshipped, explained Prof. Goel.
He has no hesitation in saying that the makeup of dishonesty is corruption and we have to pay its price in terms of inefficiencies visible around with discrimination and discontent in democratic Bharat.
For Swarnim Bharat, the fraternity of media has to become street SMART (simple, moral, action-oriented, responsive and transparent) with needo-ethics, said Prof. Goel.
We have to think inside the box and work together with one voice of commitment along with out-of-the-box thinking to avoid a post-mortem approach, believes Prof. Goel. We have to promote core values including professionalism, integrity and respect for diversity and integrity of Bharat to be Swarnim, said Prof. Goel.
