Imphal, : The Governor of Manipur Anusuiya Uikey today inaugurated Manipur Symposium on C20 – Education and Digital Transformation at Imphal. The programme was organised by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and hosted by Intellectual Forum of North East, Manipur (IFNE- Manipur).

The inauguration programme was also attended by LetpaoHaokip, Minister of TA& Hills/ Hort. & Soil Conservation; DR. Kadam Ibotombi Singh, Manipur University, ISKCON Temple, Manipur; Prof.Prema Nedungadi, National Coordinator, Working Group on C20 : Education and Digital Transformation, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kerala; Prof.Naorem Lokendra Singh, Vice- Chancellor, Manipur University; Swami Devapriyananda, Secretary, Ramkrishna Mission, Manipur; Ambassador Vijay K. Nambiar, Principal Coordinator, C20 and Dr. Hanjabam Shukhdeba Sharma, IGN Tribal University, Regional Campus, Manipur & IFNE- Manipur among others.

Speaking at the inaugural programme as a chief guest, Governor Anusuiya Uikey said that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has achieved many such achievements at the international level.  Getting the presidency of organizations like G20, United Nations Security Council and Shanghai Cooperation Organization in one year shows the new India getting stronger at the global level.

This is a golden opportunity for us to introduce the country’s strength, culture and power to the world. Today the world is looking towards India for the solution of all the major challenges of the world.  Certainly  it will prove to be helpful in shaping our global objectives, she added.

The Governor further stated that the presidency of G20  and its agenda is inclusive and ambitious. She also lauded and congratulated the mantra of Madhav Seva, B20 President Mata Amrita Nandmayiji for serving the poor and downtrodden as this is probably the first time that a spiritual leader has been given the opportunity to represent a major event like C20.

The Governor also mentions that Mata Amrita Nandamoyiji is working on service, spirituality and wellness together and then in India, both wellness and spirituality are linked to each other. We can see the love and compassion of Mother Amrita Nandamoyi in India today. Along with mother power, the image of great great men, sages and sages of our country is seen in them.

In the last 9 years, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, so many works have been done in every region, especially in the North East and today North East is seen in a new form. Earlier the news of disasters used to be common from here, but now there has been a lot of reduction in them, she added.

She also said that today, the potential of Digital India is echoing in the world. New India has also become a leader in ensuring social security through digitization. Due to digital transformation in education, health, banking and other sectors, people have got convenience in every field. The Governor added that the New Education Policy is truly in line with the needs of New India.

Today the youth is witnessing the new era, moving forward full of skills. New India is preparing its citizens for the 21st century through the new education policy. So, she made an appeal to the gathering to take advantage of this opportunity and do something through their contribution that not only the world remembers the tenure of this presidency of India but also the contributions of all are discussed in history.
