The Allegory of Global Warming

The Allegory of Global Warming

It’s hot everywhere. The mighty Himalayas is shreaking on top of its voice from its supreme height but it is also falling pretty cool now. Only we can save our planet earth. Me, Jay Sur from Kolkata has penned a few lines to awake you all. Let’s listen to the lines carefully…

We are emitting carbon in every instance,
The air we breathe, now thick with resistance,
A world once green, now smoky with strife,
Humans indulging in unnatural vice…

Our factories and cars spew out fumes,
Polluting the earth, until nature resumes
With hurricanes, wildfires, floods and more,
Asking us loudly to change our rapport…

The glaciers retreat, the oceans rise,
Species vanish before our very eyes,
We continue to exploit natural wealth,
Ignoring the truth of our planet’s health…

We can fix this damage that we have done,
With action, courage, and collective energy won,
It’s time to unite, to make things right,
Let’s protect the earth, before it loses sight…

So let’s respect nature, not abuse it any more,
Let’s preserve it, sustain it, for now and forevermore,
For only then, can we halt this warming trend,
And give our planet, a chance to mend…
