Her Sparkling Hands

Jay Sur

Her Sparkling Hands

She held me with her gentle hands,
From the day that I was born,
And helped me take my first steps,
Her guidance left me un-torn…

Her loving hands were always there,
To comfort me when in pain,
And wipe away any tears,
That left a lasting stain…

Her hands brushed my hair with care,
And always straightened my bow,
For her love and warmth was always there,
A mother’s love overflows…

Her hands held hope and possibilities,
Encouraged me to embrace new things,
With her gentle hands, I reached for the stars,
And was confident that I could do anything…

Even when I fell short of my goals,
Her hands were quick to show the way,
To make me learn from my mistakes,
And to never let my spirits sway…

With every stroke and motion,
Her hands shaped me into who I am,
And crafted me like a potter,
Molding a beautiful clay-filled jam…

Now older, her hands have aged with grace,
And need my gentle touch,
To comfort her, as she had done for me,
To show her my love and as such…

Her hands are more precious to me than anything,
For they are the reason I am who I am today,
And I will always be grateful to her,
For her sparkling hands have shown me the way..
