Agartala : The CPI(M) is raking up state politics by voicing against two alleged incidents of rape at Amtali area in Agartala and at Nutan Bazar in Amarpur. After demonstrating in front of Police Headquarter demanding immediate arrest of the accused persons, the party organised a protest rally.

Senior party leader Pabitra Kar led the rally participated by a large number of part workers and leaders of various mass organisations. Starting from the CPI(M) District Committee office the procession ended at Paradise Chowmuhani after travelling different roas of the city.

Pabitra Kar said the law and order situation has totally broken as nobody is safe now. Especially the women who become most vulnerable. Citing two instances at Amtali in Agartala and Nutan Bazar in Amarpur he said it is a matter of great concern that the state administration is not taking any action.
