Delhi: Tripura Students Forum, Naga Students Union, All Bodo Students Union, Delhi A’chik Association, Delhi Association of Manipur Muslim Students, Khasi Students Union, All Assamese Students Association, North-East Students Society in a joint press release urged all the parties to shun the path of violence and allow peace to return to the violence-hit Manipur.

Taking a dig at both the state and Union governments the student bodies said that neither of them acted timely and allowed the situation to go out of control.

“We would like to urge the government to ensure that violence is stopped immediately,” read the joint press release of Northeast student bodies.
