The court granted a three-day remand
Agartala: Bishalgarh police arrested three notorious international women traffickers on Saturday. Bishalgarh police handed them over to the court on Sunday with a police remand application.
The court granted a three-day remand. During the remand for three consecutive days, the police are trying to get the whereabouts of the entire gang of international women traffickers. According to the police sources, a young African woman was detained in Bishalgarh recently. Based on the investigation of this incident, the police arrested three people from Bishalgarh. A special team has been formed to interrogate them.
The investigating officer in this case is Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rahul Das. Additional District Superintendent of Police Manbendra Chowdhury is supervising the whole matter.
It should be noted that on May 4, an attempt was made to smuggle a Ugandan woman from Africa to Bangladesh. The foreigner was brought to Bishalgarh in a Maruti car from Agartala railway station and detained. Later, the woman escaped from their custody and took shelter at the Bishalgarh police station. The police managed to nab the criminals within ten days of the incident.
On Saturday, the police arrested one of the three members of the international women trafficking ring. The arrested are Arabul Rahman, Idris Mia and Maman Mia. Their house is in Raghunathpur of Bishalgarh.
