My first priority is to bring uniform development in all the districts-We will have to follow a holistic approach,” said Sharma
Guwahati: Addressing the deputy commissioners’ conference Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma shared his vision with the bureaucrats and advised them to start considering themselves as the chief minister of their respective districts.
“We will have to develop this mindset. My first priority is to bring uniform development in all the districts. We will have to follow a holistic approach,” said Sharma.
“In fact I would also like to suggest that those districts are lagging behind need to come up with out of the box ideas. The deputy commissioner of such district can visit other high performing districts to have an idea of the system of functioning of that particular area,” he added further.
In this conference the chief minister will be talking about the modalities that are required for the successful implementation of his flagship schemes.
However, the chief minister has also stated that the need of the hour is to go for decentralisation of powers— it is going to simply the process of administration.
Throughout the conference, a comprehensive review of district-wise development works will be conducted, encompassing various flagship schemes and other projects, an official told.
