Haflong : Non-filling of the vacant post of marriage officer in Dima Hasao District created utter inconvenience in Dima Hasao. It is learnt that the post of Marriage Officer of Dima Hasao District was lying vacant since the transfer posting of marriage officer Ibon Teron, ACS on 20/02/2023.

Due to non availability of marriage officer in Dima Hasao District for last 3 (three) months people have been facing inconvenience to register their marriage at Dima Hasao District.

Considering the problem faced by the people of Dima Hasao District Advocate Sumit Das requested the Secretary to Government of Assam, Personnel Department Dispur, Guwahati, Assam, through the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao District, Haflong, Assam.

Advocate Das has requested to hand over the charge of a marriage officer to any ACS officer so that the halted work can be completed.
