Army reaches out to vulnerable areas in Manipur

Army has reportedly taken up measures, where a multi-agency intelligence network is developed for the flow of information

Imphal: The Indian Army, along with Manipur government machinery, has worked out new security measures to bring normalcy to the state and to immediately remove the fears of local communities, particularly for those staying in vulnerable areas outside Imphal.

Army has reportedly taken up measures, where a multi-agency intelligence network is developed for the flow of information. Around 128 Army, as well as Assam Rifles columns and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, are deployed.

Vulnerable areas in consultation with state government officials are being identified and long-duration patrols equipped with sophisticated countermeasures and grouped with female personnel of the Assam Rifles are engaged.

Area-domination patrols visited villages of different communities where they interacted with locals and reassured them of their safety, and provided relief. Paramedics have also provided medical assistance. and evacuated the people in need of serious medical assistance.

The army is conducting day and night area domination while keeping surveillance over vulnerable flash points, engaging with CSOs of communities, and deployment of quadcopters, tracker dogs & UAVs.
